No. What’s most damaging is the wear and tear on your body from being poor and not being able to afford proper health care.

When you're poor you don't have options. Any 'little bump' in the road becomes a huge crisis that could quite literally cost you everything. That sort of constant stress can be crushing.

Not the housing insecurity, the lack of food, the debt collectors, the utilities being shut off, the difficulty getting transportation, or the threat that petty civil fines will lead to imprisonment? OK.

Every person in the study had a job. It’s a study of employed people who find out their coworker makes more money than they do. This study is in no way a study of poverty.

That it isn't. It's a study about the perceptions of poverty.

Seriously, this is offensive to those who are really poor and struggling day to day to make ends meet!

Right? Wow, reading that tweet really validated my experience. Feeling poor is brutal.

RESTATED: The terror of the poor is their poverty. (It seem you may owe Solomon attribution for the original quote. It also appears that psychologists are misspending resources the poor could use more wisely for immediate mental health relief. What irony.)

The 1% are feeling poor. That’s the reason they want more and more from us.

"no real winners"? because jim mora was emotionally unaffected by a public database of california state employee salaries? this article is a mobius strip of absurd pseudo-science. the conclusions aren't supported by the evidence and the methods used to gather evidence are asininepic.twitter.com/5CbfQksRdt

next time just visit the street (you know, that place between your uber and the restaurant) and actually talk to poor people. maybe they can illuminate their situation better than a psychological study that probably can't be recreated.
