“Here’s the truth,” a former senior U.S. intelligence official told @nickschmidle. Pakistan has been “in many ways” America’s best counterterrorism partner, the official said. “Nobody had taken more bad guys off the battlefield than the Pakistanis.”http://nyer.cm/HaVLfD1

@carlottagall but have they also put on the field or sheltered more bad guys? Isn't the big issue no one will or has identified the funders of the Taliban & IS, especially Kuwaiti & other Gulf States ?

Did anyone tell Trump? Did he remember what he was told? Did he understand what he was told? Is he still alive or has the US borrowed the Madame Tussaud's wax version of him and had Disney animate it?

"Pakistan could cut off the land and air routes that the U.S. uses to supply American forces in Afghanistan". Really? NATO has 14000 soldiers in Afg, compared to 100000 back then, why would they need Pak land routes to supply the forces? They could easily fly in stuff instead.

They also probably added as many combatants to the field as they removed. Pakistan is a wild card as an ally, not because they are sneaky, but they are just corrupt and easily bought at the highest levels of their government.
