The disdain that so many people feel for millennials reflects an unease about the forces of deregulation, globalization, and technological acceleration that are transforming everyone’s lives: http://nyer.cm/PNiWllv pic.twitter.com/O4R6f1VPul

An interesting read. It seems opaque to me that a generation built on crowd funding, living in shared accomm, social networks etc are perceived as selfish when I would have thought millenials were in fact highly adapted to collaborating. Is it just the tech that confuses people?

Millennials are the result of what older generations decided: How they voted, conducted business or educated said millennials. Boomers should clean their mess.

And it's not fair...we came in analog and grew up digital..we lead from the hearts, not from the pockets like the previous gen..that's also why we have to start businesses..because leadership in companies depends on seniority..and not actual leadership skills so we get overlooked

how does disdain for millennials help with that? anymore than racism or sexism has before? likely to be even more frustrating, since millennials have a future and the disdainers don’t.

Or is it just the same old story of one generation being annoyed w how “crazy” the next is.

No, not really, I embrace technology and change, the worst of the millennial crowd whines too much and is incapable of criticism or critique, thin skinned whiners, that’s really what gets up people’s noses.

I don't care what millennials say. Skinny jeans with tapered leg ankles make guys look like Euro gay men.

The hatred millennials show towards baby boomers takes my breath away. I’m told what books I should read about how we ruined everything & what decades were the best/worst, all by people who weren’t there. Arrogant brats.

They can rewrite our history once we’re gone to their hearts content, but not while we’re still upright. We had the best years to be young. We stopped a war, cleaned up our environment, stopped pandemics, made the computer & space age. ✌️ ❤️
