What happens when a Jewish woman decides to try bacon for the first time?pic.twitter.com/xO2BGap9Uq

    Bacon & God’s Wrath
Bacon, atheism, the Internet, Julia Child, and Christopher Hitchens converge in the intellectual awakening of a Canadian nonagenarian.

I grew up kosher. A lot of the reasons she gave were ones i used for being kosher. Then, i saw a chart that explained why people didn’t believe in gay marriage. I gave many of the same reasons for being kosher. Since I believe in gay marriage I gave up being kosher. 🥓 is 😋

Good for her! She didn't attack or belittle an entire religion. She called out her own religion/culture for one of its many ridiculous dictates. She stood up for herself. She broke free! #courage #reform #now

She participated in, perpetuated an environmentally unsustainable, deeply cruel practice of consuming an (intelligent) animal for fun. Tragic story actually.

Incredible, discovers the Internet at 88, two years later declares her lifelong religion an iron-age superstition. She must've long had doubts, but nevertheless what she said will stick with me, "it's courageous to choose the truth."
