Very influential to this old hippie: Reading Ferdinand the Bull as a child was a contributing factor to my lifelong pacifism; The Little Engine That Could taught me self confidence. Books became the theme of my life.
At 70 years of age I don't care who wants to reinterpret Ferdinand. Just give me the peaceful approach he taught me all those years ago please.
