They take the lens from the shark's eye? Are you really telling me they blinded the old thing just to checkits age?? Luckily those 'scientists' won't get to live that long and they'll die before anyone blinds them 'just to make sure'...

Sound very UNethical. Couldn't tvey just nip its fin or something? Still invasive but a lot less than blinding the creature.

I was curious about this and looked into it further. The sharks that were tested were ones killed by fishermen. The sharks are considered 'bycatch' and the fishermen provided them to the researchers over a five year period.

Just read up on this and its more likely the oldest tested were 350-400 years - still amazing. And they didnt blind any live sharks. They tested dead ones that were accidentally caught in fishermans' nets.

OK, so they didn't take out the lens of its eye, but many people had that question. So this is a clear indication that this video is not well edited/subtitled. It's okay to try and make it catchy and snappy, but don't make it confusing!

Absolute bullshits. (And now a shark is blind because some cunts took its lens because they have to study and control everything you know...). Sad/Mad world..
