Doug Jones’s victory in Alabama shows Democrats that they don’t need Republicans to reject Trump or the G.O.P. to win in 2018 and 2020.http://nyer.cm/P6iexhl

What it shows is they can win against degenerate candidates. Big whoop. If Moore had been slightly decent he would have picked up another 20k votes. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Forget about Trump and the base. There are many displaced Conservatives and Independents in a free fall right now. Give them a place to call home and send partisan politics the message: Middle America means business.

I mean, Trumps approval was at 48/48 in Alabama. In ALABAMA! The rejection of Trump at least helped him win...

The difference for voters was almost so close its not really worth celebrating is it?? Nearly half the state still voted for a pedophile.

The press shouldnt make a big deal about democrat beating a pedophile by 1.5% margin. Its an indication of how fu**** this country is.

Doug Jones has already shown what he really believes in: radical liberalism, which goes back to the Enlightenment. Atheism is the foundation of liberalism, which is literally just atheism reacting against America being founded on rights derived from the God of the Bible.

Nah. You just need really bad Republican candidates and incredibly low GOP voter turnout.

It's always been about voter turnout. If every citizen in the USA that believes in progressive principles & registers to vote/goes to the polls....the Democrats would run this country of generations to come.

Anyone who thinks Jones’ victory signals a massive shift in politics is delusional. For the record, I am a Democrat and I supported Jones.

It does? I think it shows that 72% of my fellow white mails aren‘t afraid to vote for an immoral childmolester, whom I, as a father, would rather kick in the groin before voting!🤦‍♂️

That and only 32% turnout statewide. But based on state demographics as many white people voted for Jones as black people if turnout was uniform
