In less than a year, the President, with help from the Alabama Senate candidate, has so damaged the Republican Party that it may never recover.http://nyer.cm/IL0hQg4

I think this is optimistic. The Republican Party has been entirely complicit, and their voters have cheered them on. Their voters are thrilled by the racism, sexism, and hatred that the GOP represents. I thought America was a good place. 62M Americans proved me wrong.

The @GOP is NOT a helpless victim here 🙄 They made a conscious choice to support and endorse him. They own all of this and should never be allowed to forget it

In the same span of time he's ALSO so damaged this nation that we may never recover. We'll be decades cleaning up his mess.

Don’t care whether the GOP can recover. I’m terrified that the country can’t recover either.

Not complete. This GOP is neither republican nor conservative. #strong #opinion Trump family, some key GOP leaders and a couple of billonairs have built up a group to accumulate more personal wealth. As a side-effect, they destroy USA. #irresponsibility #corruption

Except they're maintaining their grasp on power. The country is broken, not just the GOP.

The #GOP signed its own fate when it decided to back a pedophile & child molestor, stand behind a Russian agent & sign a tax bill that will ruin America into another Depression.

The Republicans began their destruction in the earliest days of the primaries because none of them had the guts and the spine to speak the truth about T. They thought he'd self-destruct, so they didn't get their hands dirty. Now all their hands are filthy.

They had it coming. If only they hadn’t taken the $$$ this might have ended differently. Donors & big business paid millions to own the GOP. Hope they didn’t sell America & its people too cheaply. Hopefully our country will recover when this administration is over.

They control every branch of government, have a 24/7 propaganda channel, and benefit from the electoral college, gerrymandered districts, and voting restrictions. From what are they trying to recover? #grouchy

For broad definitions of "damaged". They have all the power and are implementing policies they've wished for for decades. They don't care how they look doing it.
