In such records of outsized human kindness, as the year comes to a close, Twitter offers its most unlikely trending topic yet: hope.http://nyer.cm/vMBSyZg

Trump's tweets are like mini car crashes, you feel you have to look, but no one wants to see it twice. Except for the vile thoughts he mindlessly voices that reveal his ignorance and callous nature, a forewarning to be watchful, nothing he says is worth repeating.

@realDonaldTrump -- Obama wins because he represents HOPE. You represent Hatred. American people want & need #HopeOverHatred !!!

That's a lie. America was a prosperous, happy, proud country under @BarackObama .Unfortunately, for 6+ yrs of his Presidency he was blocked @ every turn by corrupt @GOP Congress. MAIN reason tRump won was complacency of Americans under Obama. Only ~27% of registered voters voted.

Factually, that is because of Barack Obama. Business 101: THIS year's positive growth numbers are a result of positive business growth in previous 1-3 years. Business gains or losses never turn on a dime. By mid-year 2018, we will see the success or failure of tRump's efforts.

The below statement in the newyorker article is not correct: Snide is the wrong word for the thoughtful and eloquent quotes by Comey. Use your dictionary, look up snide... "Former director of the F.B.I. emerged to give snide commentary using the words of social theorists"
