Mildly interesting, but gigantic waste of time, since this cabinet will NEVER invoke the 25th. Focus on flipping House in 2018 instead.

Agree - except -there's one big problem about flipping the house in 2018. We need paper ballots.
-
States control election procedures. Work from there. I doubt if there will be big changes by 2018, but you can at least contact state leg.
-
2018 electoral integrity is at risk if 0 is done to secure state systems -we already know 21 states were -compromised... no real action yet
-
If you're concerned, you've already contacted your state legislators, right? What are you hearing? Can't let this distract from reg & VOTE.
-
Yes main focus on our local elections at moment - gov Cuomo did announce in June cyber security initiatives for NY- but other states ???
-
Yeah, I live in TX, so unlikely I can persuade state legislature to do anything, but I will do what I can to help register & get out vote.

Why did it take 10 months for this group to act?
#25thAmendment -
They have been active from the get go. The colloquium at Yale took place immediately after inauguration, early 2017.

More helpful to offer free treatment for Trump Derangement Syndrome. Just support & vote for the Dem next time around if they want a change.

Having an unelected set of experts determine the criterion and application of the 25th amendment is undemocratic. A form of soft tyranny.
-
Literally the description of the NRA, for starters.
-
I’m confused. I’m talking about 25th adm not the 2ed adm. The former deals w/ the head of state while the latter is about guns rights.
-
So while I don’t necessarily support the NRA, the NRA-that I know of-isn’t trying to remove the head of state through the 2ed adm.
-
So in short we are talking about different things. Thus to say that the description of the NRA and group of experts is the same is false.
-
Sadly, not how things work here. The gun lobby holds the power, they are the so-called experts, and have the final sway. It's an analogy.
-
And yes, that is tyranny.
-
The ability of influence and the direct ability to remove the head of state are very different. The former is a form of soft tyranny the

This is unethical as hell. I'm thoroughly against Trump, but this vilifies people with mental illness.
