As someone who has worked in elder law and adult protection, I find it stunning any court grants multiple guardianship/conservatorships to a private profit-making company run by one individual. That's not what guardianship MEANS.

Guardianship is to protect the vulnerable from being exploited, not to provide more efficient ways for mass exploitation.

I don't understand why they wouldn't give the guardianship to a relative. What is wrong with that judge!

Not only that. It appears relatives were not even notified, so no one had a chance to intervene. It was just a machine to put ppl in for-profit care homes and sell their property for the owners' profit.

I feel like more people should be indicted, including the judge and court administrator.

Avoid probate by creating a living trust with a guardian. You don't need a lawyer, use the NOLO book with appropriate forms.

If you are speaking of a living will, yes. If you mean a trust, you can't do that on your own.

TLDR: It’s determined by your ability to not poop your pants. Babies and old people poop themselves, therefore they can’t be trusted.
