"Debunked" like Isaac Newton's been "debunked" for not predicting quantum physics. Knowing more now doesn't discredit pioneers of the past.

You don't have to be "right" to be insightful, provocative and influential. No one has ever been "right".

He is still considered a pioneer in "scientific psychology" and "human development theory". How about not totally discrediting the pioneers?

Like our view of our parents who we can denigrate, criticise and understand but they can never not be our parents. Same with Freud + therapy

Freud hasn't been debunked. His proposal of the unconscious lies beyond his persona and keeps the discussion alive. Great article!
