Nice piece, but I take issue with the eternal worst take that never seems to die, essentially, it was just noisy Sabbath until Superunknown.

They didn't sound like Sabbath. Louder than Love wasn't dissonant. Badmotorfinger was clearly "palatable" it had several hits.

Throughout the 90's numerous music journalists compared Chris to Robert Plant, or SG to Sabbath, because it's easy. But it's not accurate.

I struggle to understand how you can listen to 'Nothing to Say' or 'Loud Love' and hear "dissonant". He hits every note perfectly.
