@NewYorker @Concledoc The whole concept now of East/West Germany and the divided Berlin thing is just insanity. Great that it's documented.
@NewYorker Thea, another poignant collection of photographs. Black and white accentuates the starkness, listlessness, malaise. Lamentable.
@NewYorker East Germany, during the -80's was harsh, cruel and dismal. The Hof Border (not Berlin) was its example. Beautiful photo.
@NewYorker @alex13wetter Thought you might enjoy these @chmooze
@BankersUmbrella @NewYorker @alex13wetter Certainly did. Thanks!
@NewYorker Ostalgie! This NY'er has it, since I visited Honecker's Berlin (Ost), summer 1985, with a fellow, Scottish Eur / inter-railer. :)
@NewYorker Would have been much more engaging slideshow if it wasn't for the Cadillac ad that kept popping in every 2nd slide.
@NewYorker We shared your tweet on Beyond the Bucket List: Balance in Travel & Life http://rbl.ms/1DntETr
Great images @NewYorker Maybe @HillaryClinton can use them in her campaign to show her New America where the state builds everything.
