“I can corroborate Debbie’s account,” Kenneth G. Appold, who was a suitemate of Brett Kavanaugh’s, said in an interview. “I believe, because it matches the same story I heard thirty-five years ago, although the two of us have never talked.”http://nyer.cm/6cLH1Qi

The confirmation process is not a criminal trial. It is an interview for a job that involves a lifetime appointment to the highest court in the land. Witness accounts of Kavanaugh’s past behavior speaks to the credibility of the nominee. In other words, character counts.

To be fair, he can only corroborate that he heard a *rumor* which supports Dr. Ford. I just wish we had some eyewitnesses who would step forward.

How about the letter from her ex boyfriend of 6 years who also shows Ford was lying at the hearing @SenatorCollins @lisamurkowski ? Is it truth you each want? Or just destroy a man and his family bc it does not fit your political agenda?https://townhall.com/tipsheet/bethbaumann/2018/10/02/breaking-fords-ex-boyfriend-pens-damning-letter-detailing-her-helping-a-friend-n2524939 …

Three broken branches of government, and now a broken FBI (Trump’s goal all along - sorry, @JamesComey45). I worry now for the press, which is the only thing keeping what is left of our boat afloat. Thank you New Yorker for getting out the facts.

@SenatorCollins @lisamurkowski @JeffFlake we are counting on you, our democratic institutions are counting on you. Confirming a lying misogynist beholden to Donald Trump will destroy the legitimacy of the Supreme Court and divide our nation for the next 50 years. #voteno
