Agreeing with my mum's reality softens the blow for both of us. It's the ultimate respect to see the world through her eyes. One of the few things left I can do for her.

Sigh. Caring for a loved one with dementia is so hard. I go the truth route at present, but then again my dad remains analytical still in his forgetfulness and it gives me something to talk about with him. I just try to suspend frustration. It may change one day.

When my great grandmother was going through this- fam & I just had to find a way to tell her truths..after a little bit, it was what it was. I rest easy knowing we did that out of respect for everything she taught us... I couldn’t have lied to her.. her ghost mighta come back
