and sat by while our democracy is eroded??
falling behind in healthcare, infrastructure, education etc etc

It’s a breath of fresh air to finally hear voices that bring sensible, articulated viewpoints about our younger generational age groups. So much anger is projected towards us from our parents, but they are the ones who built this world and raised us this way.

No. It's because they are basically stupid people who think they're outsmarting everyone and they have: no social, skills, no history knowledge and a tremendous lack of vocabulary. That's just a start.

And who raised these "stupid people who think they're outsmarting everyone" who have "no social, skills, no history knowledge and a tremendous lack of vocabulary..."

Others. Because mine get it.

Of course. How convenient. Well done, sir. Did it ever occur to you that literally every single fucking parent thinks this? Even mine?!

Thank you! I guess you didn't get the memo. The Dems have banned cursing in the public square.

Gene White, you devalue us just as this article describes. Either you didn’t read it fully, or didn’t understand. This article is not about us, it’s about YOU.

The disdain for this particular younger generation is not some misguided reflection of a global phenomenon. It is because they have been dumbed down to the point of impairment, over-vaccinated, under educated, and buy into any lie they see or hear on their sacred smart device.
-
Good observation. Close to half the millennials where I live don’t know what “hello” means when you pass them. They’ve grown up glued to screens and haven’t yet assimilated with human life forms.

Meh. Not too long ago the flower child generation (60’s-70’s) was called lazy, immoral and sex and drug crazed. Not new, even then, for the older generation to find fault with their successors based upon misguided over-generalizations.

spoiler alert '“Someone once said that it is easier to imagine the end of the world than to imagine the end of capitalism,” Fredric Jameson, 2004? These days, the kids find it easy enough to imagine both.' ...therefore Millennials think consumerism sustains the world?

Hold the disdain. Too easy to blame a ‘class’ of people.
