“I’m not going to my office expecting it to be my church,” Sarah Huckabee Sanders said when asked how she, as a Christian, reconciles her religious beliefs with her support for Trump: http://nyer.cm/u5EnvZt pic.twitter.com/g25HBBwkTx

I have found this to be surprisingly common. Christians (and others) have often supported terrible organisations/regimes by dividing their part/role in an immoral regime from their personal responsibility. It's how fairly decent people end up facilitating inhuman acts.

But that then begs the question.. are they actually decent people at all?

No. *Their* religion is suppose to guide *your* morals in life. That’s why they get to tell you what to do, not do, how to live, what’s right/wrong. And they get to be hypocrites.

Suckabee is a vile spinmaster, double talker who behaves miserably on the job, openly supports a criminal and hypocritically says my job and my church are different. We see right through this. Like most evangelicals, she’s fooling herself only. @PressSec @SarahHuckabee

How do you know she checks her values at the door? Only because you don’t agree with her that’s not enough. I guess we can judge because we know her so well.....😂

How do we know? Because that's literally the import of her quote above. She doesn't assume, expect, or require that her work duties will be consistent with her Christian values, because it's her office not her church. So if she needs to check her values at the door, all good.
