After years of verbally abusing programmers who contribute to the Linux operating-system kernel he created, the celebrated coder Linus Torvalds is stepping aside and says he is getting help: http://nyer.cm/EvckT2t pic.twitter.com/tyDKmjdsRV

Torvalds is basically a 15-year-old who just got a computer, went online, and realized he can verbally abuse people without being punched in the face. His goal in life is to avoid real human interaction - he admitted it. And now he needs to take Basic Emotional Intelligence 101.

If this 15-year-old who just got a computer wrote the OS it runs on, and when he went online 96% of the servers ran on the OS he wrote, then ya, sort of like that

He may be brilliant, but he still acts like a know it all jackass that thinks he's kind of a god.. Delusional, angry, abusive. He's lucky anyone even contributed to his kernel with his behaviour instead of doing Unix or BSD. Achievement doesn't equal infallibility

lmao are people really mad at him because he cares too much about what he's been doing for so many years for free (yes i know he gets donations and sponsors)

So then not free or unpaid, quite the opposite, and he voluntarily partakes in this choice instead of greener pastures. Just because one is passionate does not mean it's the right choice and they are not allowed to verbal denigrate folks.

He has all the right to do it and it happens to me too getting angry when someone mess up something i'm passionate about, you won't get it unless you know how it feels.

Dude you are an impressive mental gymnast. Please elaborate what you are passionate about, when you feel the need to berate others when they mess up something you're in charge of instead of offering helpful criticism and advice.pic.twitter.com/98gUQBXKUO

Yeah your post about people with schizophrenia having powers if they are "smart" enough to control it makes you seem like a rational/responsible person, spread that awful ideology wider why don't you and see how that community feels about it.

I have schizophrenia but i stopped having delusions/hallucination a year ago, Now i'm talking with my own experiance, i didn't take any meds or treatments, but if your only goal is to prove that you're right and i'm wrong then you need to see a doctor fam.

Or people would've switched to Unix/BSD and he'd have died out to Microsoft and Apple cos money talks. IS contributions are what make Linux so beautiful and elegant.. cos it's a passion project for the masses unlike @Windows which only exists to fill pockets.

It seems to me that we're heading towards a society that can no longer afford to have genius. We would be bashing Caravaggio now for being a hothead or Michelangelo for his not being a "people person" like #Linus in many ways. #PoliticalCorrectness #Linux
