Did his great granddad command an imperial army armed to the teeth with guns and cannons and warships did he? What are you playing at here ffs.

This is just stupid. It is like saying - my father's house was robbed by armed gunmen. But, I know, our TV or fridge couldn't have been carted away without the help of my dad. Such unforgivable ignorance of gunpower, danger and crime.

Adobi is being unkind : it was forced collaboration; they cd, of course, choose to die.

When a country is invaded, e.g. Iraq, the citizen has two choices: 1. You oppose the powerful invader, and get killed with all your household, or 2. You cower at home and let the powerful invader to do as he likes. Either choice is non-voluntary. Africans were forced by guns.

But who has begun and institutionalized African slave trade? And who profited most? The Involvement of Africans in slave trade is what is called collateral damage.

I once had a landlord whose family had Cameroonian slave trader ancestry and the guilt still weighed heavily on her shoulders. She was resolute slavey had always existed there and colonialism was a franchise boost.

I can’t know what the truth of it was, but the only thing I know is the poor woman, and her family, are still deeply haunted by their ancestors part in it.

Yes, Africans helped round up people to sell as slaves, but that was because there were buyers offering money. Same deal now - Mexico is blamed for trafficking in drugs, but the root cause is the buyers & users of drugs here in the US.

He could have used his boldness in fighting slavery.Surely, with his potential as a leader, he would have had people following him. He might have had the boldness, but no dignity as a human being.
