Isn't H G Wells just a "pale and stale, dead white man" these days? In comparison with all the diverse towering literary geniuses dominating the modern scene?

Wells is a good start when it comes to writers that have foreseen the worst, but he did so with an imagination that (if seen in a cinema) would be about as relatable as Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. I prefer Bertolt Brecht's "The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui".
