By threatening to pull out of NAFTA and impose tariffs on European cars and Canadian dairy products, Trump forced his adversaries to submit. Now he seems to think he can do the same thing to China: http://nyer.cm/5WIYFfD pic.twitter.com/JBFt9Nqfe6

45% of New York’s Agricultural & Agri-Food exports went to Canada in 2017! Canada is New York’s #1 agricultural goods customer! New York sells as more agri-goods to 🇨🇦 than it does to China, Mexico, & the U.K.... COMBINED. NAFTA works. #NAFTA #Trade #Tariffs #farmers pic.twitter.com/BktZTYxCYP

US mfrs are as cowardly as GOP senators and reps. Trump uses national security as the justification for the tariffs, but that should be easily challenged in a lawsuit.

Neither did the EU. They offered to remove European tariffs on US car imports (as was demanded by Trump) if the US did the same. Trump declined, adding the demand that Europeans must change their buying patterns, i.e less Audi & more Buick 😂

Good luck with that, China is 3000 years of civilization, USA 241 years or so. If there is any people around in another 3000 years, Trump name will be lost in the rubble of what 's left. These financial wars are not going to take us as a species down the right path.
