One wishes that, in this critical hour, the Church could turn to a cohort of independent-minded Catholic lay people, women and men alike, who have experience in Church administration at the senior-most levels, but there is no such cohort. http://nyer.cm/Av1FzVh

what i think is we haven’t realize the church is dead, regular people no longer care to become priests only pedophiles do; & the reason is they are getting into a respected position. And it isn’t unique of Catholicism you have it also in Evangelical communities & mormons.

predators choose a respected position to protect themselves and as long as the church has protected then it has only attracted more of them.

The church needs to open all vocations to both single and married men and women. This will solve the existential threat to the religion. Most people realize the need for these institutions and should look to the Jewish people for inspiration.

Time for Church to go back to it's origins and allow the clerical to marry and those who can and wish to follow the celibate practice. Too many perverts have penetrated our Roman Catholic Church. Enough!

The Catholic church has never shown respect to women. Why would they start now? The Catholic church is dead to anyone with any sense. God doesn't need churches, anyway. It's a ridiculous notion.

The Vatican coverup of pedophilia by its Cardenals, Bishops & Priests for centuries uncovered recently had done irreparable damage to the Catholic Church. Many worldwide are even questioning the existence of God due to this horrible crime. A good God wouldn't had allowed it
