Trump consulted Sarah Huckabee Sanders—an evangelical who calls her opposition to abortion "non-negotiable"—about his Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh. She said that Kavanaugh could both get confirmed and excite the President’s base: http://nyer.cm/XsQusMg pic.twitter.com/IfQJxPtlaF

@PressSec the law of the land is the Constitution, NOT your Bible!! You cannot expect every woman in this country to abide by YOUR beliefs... This is a free country... The whole point was to escape religious persecution... The Bible is not for everyone... the Constitution is.

Are Evangelicals also against the death penalty? If not, then why are they against abortions? It's not that abortion would be forced on them, but on the contrary they want to force bearing a child to full term no matter the circumstances on other women.

This is the great evangelical abortion hypocrisy. They will elect anyone who promises to end abortion. These people only care about bringing a fetus to term. That’s it. After it’s born, they wash their hands of the whole thing. Their work is done.

Sometimes I think that the only thing that unites us is our hatred of each other.

I doubt that. There's much more that unites the people of America than is commonly inferred; perceptions are distorted through social media.

This explains all. Sanders does not follow the ethics of journalists. Nor does she understand the job of jounalists - facts & truth. Her goal is strictly numbers. Keep the Trumpsters frothing at the mouth. I couldn’t understand her angry treatment of press. Now I do. Well done.

Trump should worry less about his base (under 40%) and more about the rest of the country.

Stare Decisis works and is. It can't be "overruled" to "appease a voter base," no matter how entitled they may believe themselves to be.

categorically PRECLUDING a decision "that is NON-SECULAR in nature," "resulting in the advancement of RELIGION" and fostering an "excessive entanglement of Church & State." Maybe Sanders "knows Jesus" but she doesn't understand how Constitutional precedent LIMITS Trump's agenda.

In related news, the Supreme Court cannot "reverse" Abortion law because it was decided on the basis of SECULAR PRIVACY RIGHTS we all share. If a subsequent Supreme Court wanted to "change the Abortion laws," it would require VIOLATING the Supreme Court's own LEMON TEST
