After communicating with the offices of two Democrats, the woman who says Brett Kavanaugh assaulted her decided not to speak publicly about the matter.http://nyer.cm/vZK7Gzg

They should. After I read the NYer article, I thought it made Feinstein look bad, but I think (again) she did the right thing.

There are a bunch of other Brett Kavanaughs in the US.

This is so ridiculously juvenile. How can we even be talking about it? Kavanaugh is possibly the most impressively qualified nominee ever, but you would never know it.

He actually isn't. Too obviously partisan. Judges need to be credibly impartial.

Kavanaugh is incredibly impartial. That is his record. Far less partisanship there than others now sitting on the Court.

No. He's ridiculously partisan, a political operative who worked in the Bush White House, was a Bush lawyer during the Florida recount in 2000, he asked to break attorney-client priviledge in the Foster investigation, and lost in a 6-3 Supreme Court decision.

The man has over 300 published legal opinions which have been consistently upheld by the SCOTUS. He is decidedly and reliably in the middle as a jurist. We have not seen a more qualified nominee in many decades.

Of course we have seen more qualified, and never so brazenly partisan.
