The financial crisis that broke out a decade ago was a long time in the making, and a long time in the playing out.http://nyer.cm/ydf8Ev7

Ten years later and "progressives" still think that having Democrats in power will help ward off the next impending crisis! Capitalism is literally destroying the world and recreating the conditions for another catastrophe! But don't worry,Democrats answers are more neoliberalism

I remember it so well...my husband works in the banking industry and we were newly married...we literally watched the market tank in real time...we’ve known people who have lost their shirts and others who have scammed the market 😢

Ah the tired (& lazy) narrative that its all ‘deregulation’ & ‘free mkts’ that caused the crash. Do u know anything @ ur subject? Finance was then among most heavily regulated sectors & is moreso now. Try again mayb someday ull discover the actual cause(hint: it wasn’t free mkts)

Yes. I so remember the catchword in the overheated Phoenix market, “Drive til you qualify.” Meaning if you drove far enough into the ‘burbs, you’d find a home builder desperate enough and a mortgage banker greedy enough to approve you.

What if Trump had received an economy like that?! He has it too easy.

Consider Kondratieff's Long Wave. We've just gone through the decade plateau. Now it's down the other side: deflationary contraction; debt default; cash will be king along with stores of value, i.e., gold.
