The point of Robin DiAngelo's book “White Fragility” is that each white person believes herself the exception, one of very few souls magically exempt from a lifetime of racist conditioning. http://nyer.cm/nnKWgBM

I'm someone who can state I abhor bigotry, racism, xenophobia, misogyny, etc., but I'm also intelligent enough to realize even I've been conditioned by a lifetime in this SYSTEMICALLY BIGOTED, RACIST, XENOPHOBIC, AND MISOGYNISTIC SOCIETY to know I have exhibited those behaviors.

#whitefragility “our largely segregated society is set up to insulate whites from racial discomfort, so that they fall to pieces at the first application of stress—such as, for instance, when someone suggests that “flesh-toned” may not be an appropriate name for a beige crayon.

Always nice when one person claims to magically know what an entire race of people think. That never leads anywhere good.

I have no idea what “white” means. When I was growing up we used the term WASP and we all knew who we were talking about.
