The way in which the news media are being corrupted—even an outlet like @nytimes, which continues to publish remarkable investigative work—is one of the most insidious and likely long-lasting effects of the Trump Administration, @mashagessen writes.http://nyer.cm/Me7hn65

This is an insightful column from Ms Gessen, but it's in the @NewYorker, hardly the media operation to lecture the @nytimes at the moment on ethics and complicity after the Bannon debacle.

All good arguments however this Op-ed is putting the blame where it belongs - on Trump's enablers.

I would (optimistically) hope that your statement re: future presidential administrations’ cabinet members acting against the president is false. Trump’s role as a weak, incompetent, & ineffective leader is what has set the stage for these revelations.

Yes, blame the NYTimes low standards and low morality in publishing anonymous hit pieces about Trump on Trump. Likely from an Obama holdover deep state member that just happens to be a “senior official “. Pathetic.

Is @NewYorker being a tad dramatic about an opinion piece? Noone said it was News. Until verified, this is just gossip.
