Geoffrey Owens is what we think of as a successful working actor. Apparently, that’s why a woman shopping at Trader Joe’s was so jarred to see Owens bagging groceries that she snapped his photo and sent it to the Daily Mail.http://nyer.cm/6aKPGg7

Education is a huge necessity in some parts of the planet ... She obviously missed when it was offered .

Education does not mean class or decency. Higher education helps when applied with critical thinking, but overall has nothing to do with being a decent human being, at all. And the world is an example of this.

Of course. I should have written "upbringing" - the education we get as kids at home and society. The education of character and heart.

Quite frankly, I'm fed-up with people thinking that someone's value & intelligence is measured by colleges & degrees, bank accounts, titles, homes, cars, clothing & vacations. No one is better than anyone else. Owens is doing a honest day's work & that's nothing to be ashamed of.

She wasn’t ‘jarred’. She was petty and so desperate for attention that she took photos without consent and contacted a news agency under the guise of fake concern while trying to foist shame upon a man who didn’t deserve it. Her actions are indefensible, period.

pure manure. where's the "shame?" a man is working for a living, and some shopper violates his privacy with her smart-phone and our cultural prejudices. ain't a damn thing more to it than that.

Funny thing is, this could possibly also be work he does in between Acting gigs, just to stay busy, and keep general income flowing in. Who knows. No one knows his situation, and it isn't anyone's business. I see no issue here, other than that his privacy was violated!

Not a comfortable read. Geoff should not be dragged into the press in this way. We’re all just trying to get by, be that emotionally or financially or mentally or honestly. He didn’t court this I’m sure😑

You should amend your Tweet to reflect that the woman who snapped his picture is likely an insensitive, nosy asshole with possible boundary issues. Also I can only hope @ukdailymail didn’t pay her for that photo, and if they did she should give all of it to Geoff Owens.
