How is the United States made better or more secure by throwing away this family’s eighteen years of law-abiding life in Connecticut?http://nyer.cm/PPbzdjZ

We are throwing away countless families’ contributions with this wrong-headed policy and practice.

If they are illegal immigrants, they HAVE committed a crime. When Americans commit crimes and get caught, they too pay a price. Everyone must face the consequences for their actions. That's the way a civilized society works. One can not pity their way out of a committed crime.

Desperate and impoverished people break immigration laws the world over to escape violence and poverty and give their family a better life. Saying ‘they’re criminals because they broke the law’ shows you up as ethically vacuous.

So, we can go around breaking laws as long as we have good reason. Is that your stance? Do you know where you live? We are not in a 3rd world country. The Rule of Law is key here, in the USA. It's why we are prosperous and relatively safe. It's why the world wants to come here.

i don't understand how they could not get legal in 18 years? they have an american daughter. And they had 66K to open a pizza store. doesn't make sense. maybe they just didn't want to bother getting legal. crooked lawyer claim sounds like scam to justify delay. bs story

Comrade Trump is doing a bang-up job bankrupting America just as he's bankrupted everything else he touches, including Ivanka who smiles sheepishly while daddy is talking about having sex with her to the television people.

Excuse me, but didn’t senator McCain have something to due with the fake dossier on POTUS. That’s all I am saying.

Trump did leave the politics out of it. The left is politicizing it.

Notice the shift away from Trump's bad behavior to someone else's, anyone else's. It's a Soviet/Trump ploy they love to use. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSmeXswTn1s …pic.twitter.com/vkHftI7hnk

I understand your point that these are not criminals but they entered the USA ILLEGALLY. A billion people on this planet would like to live here or in a first world country. Not all of them are close enough to slip across a border into the USA. Is proximity a qualifying reason?

If it makes a million other illegals fear to even come here by breaking the law... then that is the goal, I suppose.
