By casting the press as an “enemy,” Donald Trump is not merely joining a long list of Presidents who have bristled at criticism. He goes much further than his predecessors: http://nyer.cm/mzmCIx6 pic.twitter.com/4bvTeyRCnt

The thing about men who rage daily is it becomes commonplace, mundane, routine - and therefore easy to ignore.

Due to fake news, we have no idea who to believe, and that is why it is the enemy of the people.

I must conclude it is because we are conservatives. This is new to me as I have always been a democrat until the last election. I then voted republican because of all the anger and hatred I witnessed in the Democratic Party. It is a sad state of affairs.

I believe our President, President Trump, has been treated unfairly and with prejudice under the guise of the media. I have never seen so much hatred, bias and division incitement towards any President as I see today towards my President, President Trump.

There are certain media who I may trust, but still do my fact checking but unfortunately the fake news, the news that likes to sensationalize comes to the forefront most often. I am not that familiar with the New Yorker but I’m giving it a chance to not find bias nor division

The New Yorker writers provide analysis, opinions and in depth reporting, i.e. Ronan Farrow’s Harvey Weinstein storyline. The cartoons are often on point also. I’ve been a reader for decades.

The entire dynamic between a critical press and a critical president is by in large a circular war of words. The hyperbole on all sides is what most harms the conversation. And yet this distasteful climate is also the First Amendment at work.

Doesn’t he know that the media is the only American institution that must not be criticized? These biased, fragile journalists must be allowed to push their narrative without criticism.
