“Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s victory has been a boost for the young, for minorities, for women, for a lot of people who have been beaten down by the seeming dominance of Trump and the unrelenting news he generates,” David Remnick writes. http://nyer.cm/KQFtDwQ pic.twitter.com/moN8zvWiKR

Really? I find your headline and article extremely racist because your article implies that all young people and minorities are ignorant and stupid, which is DEFINITELY NOT the case! I am even wondering if your article has violated any civil rights laws!pic.twitter.com/TfGYvuKF5r

And most of all, @Ralf_Stegner it was a victory for a genuine democratic socialist against a sclerotic party establishment who pay lip service to left ideals when they want votes, but have failed to deliver meaningful change for decades. In this story, you're Crowley. #aufstehen

No, she doesn’t. Politicians debate opponents. He’s a showboating idiot blogger digging for ratings. Even suggesting they “debate” is adversarial from the start. Maybe an interview. She doesn’t have to give him the time of day.

Please stop taking the results of a local election where the winner was victorious with about 13,000 votes, amidst an abysmal 14% turnout and hysterically extrapolating out of that the overwhelming "trend" for the nation. Thank you, a New York City Democrat.

It's also important to bear in mind that @NYCMayor was elected with a mere 726,361 votes, in a city of 5 million people. Voter turnout was a miserable 21.7%. Since then, Di Blasio has attempted to portray himself as the de facto national progressive "leader". No one is biting.

She’s exactly what America hasn’t been waiting for. Promoting socialism is the best way of securing a second term for Trump.

Here’s an open question to Remnick: you earn $1 million a year as editor of the New Yorker. If Cortez were to gain office as a political leader, she would do everything in her power to see to it that you paid at least $800k per year in taxes. Will you comply? Please answer.
