Is the ultimate explanation for what’s happened to us is that everyone is a moron? http://nyer.cm/omzUyGl pic.twitter.com/o1EyTunpRw

There’s no political incentive to have an educated electorate. Smart people are harder to scam, and as long as there’s big money to be made in politics by conning voters, we’ll never have an adequately funded public education system.

This is what I’ve been saying for years. Our current political situation is in great part a consequence of forty years of cuts in education. Mubarak did the exact same thing in Egypt.

Agreed. A system that actively discourages getting a degree. The whole system needs a massive reset.

not everyone, but too many apparently are dealing with too much KoolAid, faulty transmissions, high fructose corn syrup, deliberate pesticide consumption, trans fats, fried facts, and the deliberate choice to be intentionally, blatantly stupid, proud of it, and willing to brag..

If you look carefully at the Qmap, it will be clear that it was not made by morons. It shows how absurdly off track very smart people can go. The trouble however is that it is an archetype that will trap morons in the same way as apocalyptic religions.

Not everyone. Trump is slick enough to know there are a lot of morons are out there, so he mines them. He throws them red meat with his authoritarian posing, bragging. He sees these people as trailer park trash but gets them to chant stupidities. Uses them to gain power.
