Like its glacial namesake, iceberg lettuce has a lot more going on beneath the surface.http://nyer.cm/S7tJhGN

Iceberg lettuce is basically crunchy water. It's great for wraps but little else. I'll also concede that @innoutburger uses it very well in their burgers.

It does not have any nutrients. Don’t understand the premise.

Eeeew. Watery, nutrition-less, flavorless. Peels like an onion. Tastes like the paper grocery bag the onion may have come in.

All lettuce is tasteless, except arugula, which is bitter. Lettuce is there for crunch, moisture, and roughage. Iceberg lettuce is also a good source of lithium, which would help all you haters to chill out…

Iceberg lettuce has no nutritional value. We have rabbits, and if you feed iceberg lettuce to rabbits, it makes them malnourished. It can actually kill them.

But iceberg lettuce is all water though! It isn't a nutritious lettuce at all. 😑
