Most Americans disapprove of the rogue President, but Trump’s base of support remains solid, and it encompasses more than eight in ten self-identified Republicans.http://nyer.cm/UXVsvdE

But the number of Republicans is shrinking. When people jump off the sinking trump ship, they are also leaving the GOP

So, @Lawrence just worked out the ACTUAL numbers (not the fake poll numbers) for Trump's support. 88% of Republicans is actually 23% of voters, bc GOPers are only 26% of electorate right now. THIS is the truth. Do NOT confuse trolls making noise online with a majority.

But every time you use writing like this you MISLEAD Americans into believing Trump has massive support. He only has solid support from about 26% of American voters. Only about 28% of voters are GOP, and only about 80% of them are solid for Trump.

2/ So why don't you start talking about the 74% of voters who AREN'T part of the Trump cult? They will decide the election and America's future course!

Majority of registered voters in Massachusetts are “unaligned”, state had to give up independent branding due to creation of an independent party. These folk are not going to show in any party designated poll figures.

And only 23% of voters are self-identified Republicans. Soooo 18% of registered voters. Doesn't seem so scary when you put it that way...your headline is misleading.

We know. There's a core base of assholes. But the party is shrinking rapidly - so much so that it's now a third party in CA. Nationally, what are the numbers compare to two years ago?

And the percentage who are republicans is less than a third, so quit trying to play it like some massive majority.

Self-identified. Base of the base. These people won't budge. They have to be overwhelmed at the polls by the rational majority. Let's hope the rational majority now appreciates the critical importance of voting.

But "self-identified Republican" is an ever-dwindling demographic. Trump and GOP are in a death-spiral. They can't pull out of it, so they double down and wait for impact.

Lets face it! You despise him as can be seen in everything you say about him. You may overlook his accomplishments as you do, but come 2020 he will be elected again president of the USA. That I'm sure causes you nervousness, constipation and teeth grinding at night!

Which is 1 in 4 voters; small if everyone votes! Check your registration and status: seems if you are democrat in southern states you have been purged.
