I’m not even sure if it’s a good idea to discuss the holocaust with children. It’s certainly a part of our history but I think a child needs to be at least in his or her teen years to talk about this

Teens? Children read about slavery in school at 10-11. Children don’t need to be sheltered they just need to be taught sensitively. And honestly.

By telling the truth. The German concentration camps had better conditions than the American concentration camps, and included theaters and swimming pools. People died in the camps due to the Allied bombing campaigns cutting off supply lines. The Red Cross' report confirms this.
