@lucian_ashworth Sounds familiar. Have IR historians made this connection before?

Yes... The only good news here is that Trump is less powerful within the US system. The bad news, though, is like Wilhelm he has a lot of enablers.

Court packing, gerrymandering and congressional willingness are empowering him further.

Being There with Peter Sellers, only he wasn’t bad tempered. This movie is tough to find, but it’s very relevant.

Do you realize the monarchs of Europe were all related? A lot interbreeding. Tsar Nicholas Romanov wasn't doing well ruling Russia forget they lost war with Japan 1905 and let's not forget the Russian revolution in which the Romanov family was executed.

Same old tricks as Kaiser Wilhelm. Just a different face and name. The end result is not good. Our country needs damage control from this unending narcissist of a different shade of the same color.

Little info aside: Wilhelm II had a paralyzed left arm since birth and had to undergo almost torturous treatment as a child to make it barely function. His mother often declared that this made him her worst disappointment. Tiny Willy had to compensate a lot.

You're welcome! There are so many parallels/analogies/similarities to be found in history. Too bad that those who should be warned don't listen, and the warners end up feeling helpless like Kassandra.
