Obama did not mention Trump in his Nelson Mandela Lecture, in Johannesburg on Tuesday, but he didn’t need to.http://nyer.cm/Aqc0Dye

Never ceases to amaze me how this former inept American president goes around giving political advice when after he ran his country and party into the ground. Great with words, but beyond that nothing as far as action was concerned. An empty suit!

@BarackObama is the reason we have Trump.

I lost much of my respect for Obama when he described the killing of Osama bin Laden by US forces in 2011 as justice being done. It wasn't justice; it was vengeance. There is a difference, and a POTUS should know that.

Why should he? Trump is exactly the opposite of what Nelson Mandela means. There's no reason to mention this guy in any speech about freedom and democracy.

Did he mention that Russia was a non-existence power in the Middle East since the fall of USSR & he let them in? Or did he mention the fact that he allowed execution of Gaddafi without trial? BTW Gaddafi was one of the few leader who stood by #Mandela &#AntiAparheid movement.

@GCMandela100 should be ashamed of inviting #Obama to speak, the very man who executed Gaddafi without a trial. The same Gaddafi who stood by @NelsonMandela through thick and thin. Madiba never did #Hypocrisy! Happy Birthday, Madiba!

All I can say is... Thank God Hillary could not finish the US hack job Obama started. Cash to terrorists, stolen $$ from Haitian poor, Benghazi dead, creation of terrorist states. Real collusion. Not imaginedpic.twitter.com/qtAbSZ6KMz

Obama has been very careful in his criticism of Trump. At a time where Democrats lack a leader abd a voice, I wonder if the time has come for Mr. Obama to more aggressively challenge Trump and his policies.
