Wow. Dominated. In a two person race against a tired old incumbent. With a whopping 16,000 votes in a congressional district with a population of over 700,000 people. Usually the hagiography comes after one has a long extensive career.

She’s a piece of work. The arrogance is truly astounding to me.
-
I'm just amazed at her arrogance. I guess people have never heard that too much exposure can be a bad thing. Well, this what she and the press is doing. Overkill. It's been almost Ocasio-Cortez 24/7 since election day.
-
I know we need to keep every seat and flip many. But honestly a big part of me wants her to lose.
-
is it the racist part
-
Nah it’s the part that realizes the damage a know it all holier than thou sanctimonious messenger with zero actual accomplishments wind bag can do to the goal of meaningful change. See also
@BernieSanders if you need another example. Be best. -
Who’s surprised that the centrists crying the hardest about a progressive kicking ass are also still mad about Bernie? Anyone?

I just wish she would save the gloating for after she wins the general.
-
That's where I'm at.
-
I don't think she has a clue where she's going if elected. She's one of over 400 legislators who aren't exactly gonna roll out the red carpet and let her part the waters with her magical magic. She's gonna need friends and cosponsors AND, yes, mentors to help her navigate around.
-
Isn't that a guy still on the ticket he can't remove his name yet isn't he still there?
-
Crowley’s name will still be on the ballot and he refuses to take it off. Like most Dems he would rather split the vote and hope a republican can win instead of a progressive.
#PrimaryAllCorpDems -
It’s hard to get it off the ballot and he’s not campaigning. It shouldn’t be a problem if she’s dominating the race like she says.
-
WFP asked him to rescind their nomination, he has refused. So once again you have a dem who would rather have a republican replace him than a progressive who might actually work for the people instead of the donor class.
#PrimaryAllCorpDems -
The only way he can get his name off the ballot are officially changing residency to another state or running for an office in another district. He’s not campaigning. Ironic to have “progressives” complaining about more choices on the ballot. “Do as we say, not as we do.”

People on this thread are not used to hearing a woman tell it how it is. They want to hear "what, little old me, I don't know how it happened" *giggle*. That's not what happened. She DOMINATED! The word pertains to "domain" and is entirely justified and appropriate.
-
Nothing to do with her being a woman. Her comments are ridiculous. One primary with a small percentage of the voters is not dominating. And her interviews show she needs to be quiet and gain some knowledge of world affairs. Right now, she’s Sarah Palin without the kids.
-
Exactly. She's not a seasoned politician. She doesn't really seem to know much about how politics works. One hopes she'll learn, but then again, Bernie never did...
-
Actually what she accomplished was extremely impressive
-
Right! She improved voter turnout by 50% and beat an 10+ year incumbent who tried to get ahead of it. He wasn't caught off guard. Run on issues and have a strong grassroots campaign and big wins like this happen.
-
These people will do absolutely anything to write this off simply because it doesn't fit with their narrative of ""conventional wisdom"" that the only way to win an election is to go to the center
-
People forget that a socialist beat an incumbent R in a VA race without ANY DNC support last November. The issues and grassroots campaign win.
