Some great qualities of animals: "Animals are such agreeable friends―they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms." ― George Eliot "Animals are born who they are, accept it, and that is that. They live with greater peace than people do." ― Gregory Maguire

Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and III of the ADA. Other animals, wild or domestic, trained or untrained, are not considered service animals. A doctor's letter does not turn an animal into a service animal.

I blame most of this misinformation on the media. They choose , with every story,to remain willfully ignorant on proper terms and laws. As a handler, it annoys me to no end.

I admit I am not a animal lover & in general I am skeptical of treating pets as surrogate children but I am tolerant person. But I hate large, uncaged dogs on NYC subways or in restaurants.

This was a cute piece about emotional support animals - until I read the author's snarky statement -- that she "likes animals -- medium rare". Take her to the hospital. Maybe they can give her a heart.

Take a joke, ya lunatic. And btw the vegan lifestyle kills millions of animals per year. Harvesting your plants kill rabbits, gophers, and more. Pesticides run off and kill fish. Good fertilizer is made up of dead blood worms and other insects.

And it’s all in the name of terrible science. Humans need animal protein to thrive. You can’t be a healthy vegan without a lot of supplements. I agree factory farming has terrible elements, but the idea your living a lifestyle free from animal death is a childish farce.
