Barring an unexpected change, the Donald J. Trump Foundation will be defending itself in a New York courtroom shortly before this fall’s midterm elections. The proceedings seem unlikely to go well for the institution and its leadership.http://nyer.cm/tlUUXRQ

The Donald J Trump Foundation was yet another disgraceful fraudulent Trump enterprise. Yet another. Charges should be laid against members of the Trump family.

The most egregious use of non-profit status I've ever encountered. And I used to run a foundation that was audited annually & voluntarily to assure compliance with a budget of less than $200,000/annum. This cannot be condoned. They perjured themselves.

Perhaps the Foundation can hold a charity event at Mar-a-Lago to pay for it's legal fees... Ah, that's illegal, right? Didn't stop Donny, Jr. and Eric from trying... #MAGA 😂

One more to add to the list of failures @realDonaldTrump has had his tiny hands on. The @WhiteHouse will be his largest and most spectacular failure of all--the biggest in History. He should be proud. @potus

He can not pardon himself or others for crimes committed in New York State - only federal crimes, as far as I'm aware.

Trump clearly used the charity as a vehicle to commit crimes. No limit to his crooked behavior.

OR—and hear me out—nothing will come of this. There will be other Trump news items overshadowing whatever the court finds. A handful of dems will clutch their pearls, GOP will either deflect of feign disgust, then a few days later Trump will tweet about the NFL, and we’ll move on
