Hell of a bass player. One of the greats . Mick Karen is my fave but there’s a concert on YouTube somewhere that has Mick Karn,Bootsy Collins and Flea. Three of the best (not forgetting Paul Raven) The Raven King

ive never heard mick karen, i love John Entwhistle and Carol Kaye, and McCartney and Brian Wilson fantastic bassist s
-
Mick Karn (auto correct) he played bass in Japan, appeared on Kate Bush plus all his solo stuff. Get Titles. Amazing album https://youtu.be/Q7zncivPnxM This is of that album

I thought thats who you meant oh yeh his bass pattern s are liquidy if that's a word .

It’s a fretless bass so lots of slides and bends/vibrato etc. No one like him though met a guy in a band in Hollywood that had the same Ibanez rosehead fretless that I’d seen Mick use. He played some Mick and Japan got me singing but his bands singer got bent out of shape

It's a great sound I love Scott walkers climate of the Hunter and its got a similar bass sound. Plus Slyvians great too.
