Mike Pompeo has become the most outspoken Secretary of State in U.S. history on the subject of Iranian women’s struggle for equality. Why?http://nyer.cm/ByPvH8y

So now Pompeo have such sympathy and eagerness to democracy for Iranian women’s right, but keeps his mouth shut on his boss for child separation in America ? Among zillion things that needs attention in his country such as mass incarceration ! How thoughtful you are .

It is not "Pompeo’s advocacy 4 women that reflects a cynical strategy" rather it is @AzadehMoaveni's lobbying 4 a brutal regime that lacks any coherent principles. What "Women’s-rights circles in Tehran R concerned" about, is 40 yrs of crackdown on Iranians of all sexes.

Pompeo is probably taking a page from the French colonials in Algeria who promoted women's lib and encouraged women to remove the veil as a way to break up the traditional family structure and to better subjugate the population. His "feminism" is not all what it seems.

It’s a sad commentary on the state of liberals in this country that they show almost zero support for these women. The media basically ignores them. The question is why?

You mean the women that the so called feminists have ignored and mocked by celebrating the hajib which women in Iran get sent to jail for or worse?

Trump administration is using the Iranian women to upset Iranian leaders. There's nothing philanthropic or humanitarian about it. Points scoring only.
