Aromatic oils have become big business. But are they medicine or marketing?http://nyer.cm/KWHqRa2

Argh. Does that question about aroma fakery actually have to be asked.

It's interesting because unlike foods, candles and essential oils are hardly regulated. We can't even be 100% sure some scent products are fine for us to breathe in. Do you think we need more regulations on these kinds of common products Americans consume everyday? 🤔

Totally agree. I, admittedly, diffuse lavender and tea tree oil every night before bed but only because I enjoy the smell. I worry for truly sick people who look to this as yet another holistic promise of wellness, when, in reality, it might just be a waste of money.

Interesting observation. Not only could it be a waste of money, but it could also harm sick people further... or harm a perfectly healthy person?

I’ve used them for 10 years and they work for me. Allergies, skin issues, pain oral health, digestion. Where do you think pharmaceuticals originated and started being synthesized from.

Just the latest angle stay-at-home mommy bloggers can take toward claiming to be a "small business owner" on Facebook.

or merely talismanic/aspirational? If it works......and doesn't smell bad......who's to say your out look isn't better if your car smells more like the spice bazaar than old tennis shoes?
