Hannah Gadsby, like many women, is done hiding her anger, and in “Nanette” she bends the bounds of stand-up to accommodate it. http://nyer.cm/Uj67NcI

I love how ppl call it beautiful and brave but not FUNNY. Its amazing how you can be a comedian now and not be funny. So many angry people with an axe to grind against everyone else.... Just miserable humans making others just like them.

Very powerful to hear someone else who has experience the same pain. Makes us not feel alone anymore.

I feel sorry for you guys. First off, you don’t understand humor if you think this woman’s act is funny. Second, you just pathetically make fun of people who don’t fit into your groupthink. Try watching a good comedian, maybe it will help you both lighten up 🤷🏽‍♂️

@luisjgomez @bigjayoakerson @ComicDaveSmith @AriShaffir you should have her on #LoS. I think it is too late to book this ball of sunshine for #ShaffirFest; too many college campuses to pander on.

Loved this article. Watching Gadsby, it *is* impossible not to think of all of the #MeToo stories that have been told but also, so powerfully, how many over the centuries have not been told. She's in her prime.
