France won the European Cup in 2000. That same year, more than a third of respondents to a French survey said that “there were too many players of foreign origin” on the team: http://nyer.cm/ce9ir8S pic.twitter.com/nnXxoTOUmu

(They won the European Championships. The European Cup is a different event, for pro clubs across Europe, not national teams)

You are wrong and the headline of the article is correct. The European Cup (Euro Cup) is for national teams. Champions League and Europa League - are for pro clubs across Europe.

The Champions League is just the modern name for the European Cup. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Cup_and_UEFA_Champions_League_history …

Bien sûr que non. La nationalité ne s'octroie pas en fonction de la qualité d'un sportif.

Explain why one of their most important players decided to dress like this for his birthday party. Antoine Griezman is a player who traffics in racist imagery and racist visual tropes.pic.twitter.com/EJ73iVil9Q

Because blackface in Europe, and outside the US in general, doesn’t carry the racist tones. Stop seeing the world thru American eyes. Also, there is whiteface done by famous people (D-Wade), and nobody seems to be outraged?
