Fred Rogers wanted his show to be a place where children could recognize their emotions and learn what to do with them, and he taught this art through songs, stories, and direct conversation with the camera: http://nyer.cm/EH9x9QD pic.twitter.com/mgkeTmpIRT

All these many years later it is highly encouraged to talk, sing and read to young children. #MrRogers knew this important lesson 50 years ago. Please parents, continue his legacy.

That is why post Gen X are so emotionally inept. They didn't grow up with Mr. Rogers.

Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood ran right smack in the middle of Gen X. I was born in ‘75 and absolutely grew up with it. Also, how is Gen X emotionally inept, exactly?

He taught us routine too. I loved that he changed his shoes and put on his sweater at the start of the show.

My daughter told me the other day that she never watched him growing up because I taught her the stranger danger rule. She considered Mr. Roger a stranger. She didn't like his sweater either. #badmomsclub maybe? 🤔🍷pic.twitter.com/NqdHJVoDxv
