In intimate-partner abuse, the battered woman is both the cause and the effect of the violence waged against her; in the violence being done to families at the U.S. border, the abducted child takes the battered woman’s place. http://nyer.cm/DfpClAA

I was just thinking about how our government has taken on the role of the abuser.. but the abused person is NOT the cause. Not ever. That makes NO sense

Those women are not the cause! Saying that they are the cause is accusing that their very existence is the sin! This statement is both appalling and evil!

The woman (person being abused) is NOT the cause, or a cause; NEVER, EVER. Delete this shit tweet and get it right.

So, do we have laws on illegal immigration or not? If we do have those laws, are we to enforce them or not? Delaying Action is NOT a solution. It’s a political stunt. Nothing more. No decision aka let’s all hold hands and skip through the park is NO decision or solution.

Yes, there are laws for illegals! But crybabies are holding up the whole process with their crying! I think the law was very clear but democrats are putting up barriers to the law so they can blame a republican president for problems they are creating!

Seaking asylum is legal. There are US laws & international laws.

Yes, & it should be. But, there must be laws governing all factors considered & how each factor is weighted in importance. Current laws/provisions/guidelines do not include every reason anyone chooses for seeking “asylum,” which now suggests political or religious persecution.

I cannot believe I'm reading the first half of that sentence -- to promo this article, of all things -- from The New Yorker. Wtf?

This is all well and good, but why has this show been unwatchable for the past 15-odd years?

Children and battered women do not cause their victimization. This is simply the brute's way of deflecting blame from himself to the innocent. The behavior of the officials from Trump on down is horrendous. Although they won't own it, we can see the truth and continue to tell it.

Oh, get real! Print some worthy news and quit crying because the new president is President Trump! He has not caused all the misery in the world, but he is doing right by Americans! Proof, assholes, proof!

Yet again, the ASSUMPTION is that in Domestic Violence, the Woman is the Victim. Internationally between 10 & 15% of Men are living with a Violent & Abusive Woman! Why do you NEVER tell THEIR stories?!!!
