I hope the Paris police are 100% sure it was a suicide. It makes no sense that he would kill himself.

I just can't believe he killed himself. I don't think I will ever believe it.

Suicide doesn't have to make sense and no one has to "believe" it. It happens, and the victim will always have had reasons that made sense to them, no matter how unthinkable it seems to anyone else. Talk like this only further isolates those who have ever considered self-harm.

It's legitimate to investigate a suicide to ensure that it wasn't a homicide. It's not legitimate to say that it COULDN'T have been a suicide because of a person's personality/circumstances, because it's impossible to know the circumstances in someone's head.

There will never be another Anthony Bourdain. A man who came, contributed, and left on his own terms. We were fortunate to have him.

Parts Unknown was a great cultural and culinary experience. It was completely human. Just rewatched season 1; Tangier was simply psychedelic.

Same age as Hemingway. Maybe they shared some of the demons and the vices that help fend them off... A great loss in any case. Don't rest in too much peace Mr. Bourdain, party on!

Wasn't the article's tittle "Anthony Bourdain's Moveable Feast" a reference to Pops as well? An unconscious one even.
