Elizabeth Warren's speech at Georgetown University was a robust defense of federal agencies—the parts of the government that keep lead paint out of toys, insecticide out of medicine, and bad brakes out of cars.http://nyer.cm/yG5uw6r

Soon we will be like China and regulations will be obsolete and we’ll all have homes with Chinese drywall (emits poisonous gases) or pollution in our water system, filthy black toxic air to breathe. And yes, Trump will profit while citizens children and all life suffers.

Protecting #American people from #pollution & keeping them safe did not used to be a partisan issue. Why is it now?

Our Federal institutions and the services they provide are the bedrock of our Nation. Although Trump is trying to pervert and starve them, the civil service is loyal to their mission...which is for You.

Seriously, what happened to consumer protection? The amount of spam calls people are getting is out of control. Land line, mobile, doesn't matter.

The consumer protection law that says solicitors must remove you from their call list upon request is still in effect.

I mean, yea it's there, but why have the calls gotten worse and not better? Plenty of people on the no call list still get swamped.

Each solicitor has a list. They purchase it from companies you’ve given your phone number to, like stores with points programs. Ask them how they got your number, then tell the company who sold it to them not to share your number with 3rd parties.

That's a lot of work Julia. If you're a small business with a number listed online that's getting swamped then it's not really the same. But yea, I guess we ask for it we sign up for loyalty programs, so it's up to us to follow up with every spam call. THANKS

I agree with you that consumer protection in this regard could be MUCH BETTER. Until it is, the onus is on us. 🤷‍♀️

Good to see Warren and the Democrats adopting anti-corruption as a core platform, because organized corruption is a core issue. It’s hard to imagine today’s corruption weary voters not supporting serious elimination of Trump GOP organized corruption and restoration of trust.

Don't believe running as an anti-corruption party would be the right move. You should wait until AFTER the IG report, June 14, 2018. Happy Birthday to our @POTUS.
